only 1 month later - COD4 Skins yup, it's true. even without infinity ward releasing the "official" modding tool yet, some new skins are now available, havent tried them yet but the screenies look great. SSgt Griggs is now available in multi. i havent checked if they effect "ranked" servers yet but i'll keep researching. 17 skins 3 scopes 27 weapons all done without "infinity ward" so far, when that gets released there should be a lot more. so far i only found them on callofdutyfiles.com. http://callofduty.filefront.com/files/Call_of_Duty_4/Skins;9925
